Will this setup work?

My rosy red breeding setup, should it work? I've got a shoal of 24. Water is room temp with 15hrs of light a day.

I thought that was your Crayfish setup! lol. I'm sure this setup will work fine as long as you have well defined caves for them to spawn in (I'm not sure the bricks will work since the male will have to defend two sides instead of one).

He's been moved into a 30g. I'm going to add some PVC piping for caves. Is two dozen too many fish for the setup to assure they reproduce?

I know they pair up, I'm just worried the rest of the shoal would eat any new fry..?

I'd probably go for more like 6, I wouldn't have much confidence in fry surviving with 23 hungry mouths around.

I did a water change, moved the rocks a tad and added a few of these pvp pipe fixtures. Shoal is down to six. These are supposed to be easy breeders right?
