well i just got a 200 gallon fish tank and wanted to add a sump..now the base is short so i cant fit my 55 gallon fish tank that i have...i want to built one out of acrylic and i know by reading a lot f diy sump u need to have certain amount of media for it to work..I came up with this since the sump i need has to be short due to my stand the highest it can be would be 14inches thats cutting it close if i want to service it..so im going with 12 inches it gives me enough clearance. so i want to make two inlets like if i had two small sumps to euqal a bigger one..it will be 60x12x16 and i mad a removable cover to slide it in the stand when its done.so let me know if it works or if you see some things that are missing.. The part where i have my fish or plant is for feeder fish..plants should help also right??will have one or two pumps..thepicture is just an example it should be the same on both sides even though it doesnt look even dont hate on the pic...hahaha
