Will this sump diagram work?

I found this on tropheusfanatics.com. This is probably what im going to use. I dont know the measurements but the design is pretty sweet

That sump has the right idea, but how its planned out its wasting alot of space. For anyone who doesnt know bio balls only work well when out of the water, with good airation and constant floww of water. Also in the second pic off to the right, those things that look like rocks thats infact seachem pond matrix. the same stuff i use.

it will, but seems like a complex array of pipes. i would try to simplify, maybe have one return and one outlet, not really nessary to have two, but its your tank. also i would swap the bio balls for something else like matrix or scoria. For one from your pic your last tier will be submerged and bioballs or pot scrubbies do not breed backteria very well when submerged du to lack of oxygen.

Im designing my own sump also and am going to have an outlet either end of the tank but have the return at the centre of the tank thus alleviating the want/need for 2 returns. either way dude good luck. :)

I would always try to use multiple outlets, as if one clogs up, you have several others that with a bit of luck could still take all the overflowing water to the sump. :)

I agree with everything pharaoh advised- Id add a spray bar connecting your returns to each other so it sprays evenly the whole length of the tank- also I think youll see that your pump is too small, but since you already have it, use it for one return and get an identical one for your other return- instead of dealing with baffles you could put your pump in its own smaller topless(huhuh topless)container the same height the baffle would have been- or for more sparkling water and more maintanance the pump could go in a filter sock- and as far as the overflows go- even though more plumbing means more possibilities of leaks it also means if one side has a blockage the other side will make up for it- but your plumbing probably wont leak or clog anyway(knock on wood) good luck

yeah, maybe the water level was too high but that can be adjusted.

anyway this is how i am going to design my sump
