Will this support a 40-60 gal tank?

If you have doubts then don’t do it, you will always have a worry in the back of your mind and will be on edge every time you hear a creak.
It looks sturdy but constant weight and water spillages might wear it down over time. Could you replace this with a stand with built in storage instead if you don’t have enough space For both?
I’m probably not going to be able to move it, I was thinking to put something between the dresser and the tank. Do you think there is anything I can do to make it more sturdy? Like slap a peice of wood in or something ( I can’t drill into it)

How about get rid of it so you have room for a stand?

Maybe you could sell it on Craigslist or something to make room for a proper aquarium stand. You could also give it to Goodwill if you don't mind losing a bit of money, it would be an honorable donation to a great cause, plus I think you can get some money from taxes (I'm not 100% certain about that as I've only seen my dad do stuff related to taxes).

I agree with the others. Ive had a drawer break due to the sheer weight of the fish tank. better safe than sorry and look for someone offering a stand, buying one from a fish store, or making it with cinderblocks and or wood planks. Tons of youtube tutorials online

Can’t, but I just checked out the dresser and it has a brace at the bottom with a middle support. Also it has lots of support’s throughout the inside so it will be more than enough for the tank

You don't have any friends or family to help you move it?
I agree with putting aquarium on a stand designed for aquariums.
No I’m still living with my parents because I’m in high school still. They don’t want me to move it. The dresser has a bunch of supports inside and a brace with a support at the bottom so it should be good. Thanks though

It’s pretty high quality a thick wood. It’s an about 5-10 years old MAX. It has a wooden piece going through the open part. And if you don’t think it will work, what do you think I could do to make it work . I think it should be fine but please tell me your opinion
Grab your mates and or family, stick the TV on the other side, and binge a few movies all sitting/standing on that.
