WILL THIS WORK?! Jag,Oscar,FlowerH,RedDevil,GreenTerror,Texus,butte rcufi

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
IMO-who knows it might work-Terd did it. The thing that bothers people though is you ask for our advice but do what you want anyways-why ask-just post a thread titled "This is what I am going to stock" Anyways your fish are nice-good luck!

Thats the Angle of the first shot and the fact he just needs fattened up. Side view gives a perfect profile. Lips are rounded, not pointed and adult male Midas can be long aswell as tall. Also, his lips aren't thick at all compared to a RD. just because a Devil's lips tend to be more pronounced does not mean that Midas don't have descent sized lips aswell. They are just rounded Vs pointed. after a generation or two RD's lips shrink and are not as large as a F0. I'll agree that he could be a hybrid, but if so he is definently more Midas then Red Devil.

Hm... I don't see much midas in him. His has the thicker lips and his body is more elongated. He is most likely a hybrid between the two.

What Terd/Kevin did was MUCH different from this tank...

and when using his 190 gal as an example of success at overstocking you have to then include that after keeping this tank for a short period of time he upgraded it to a larger 300+ gal tank... upgrading after a short time doesn't justify a claim of long term success...

The 320 gal he has also has territories for each fish/pair, more caves than fish, etc, etc... it can in NO way be compared to this tank...

Terd/Kevin will also gladly share with you his experiences of trial and error to find the balance that allowed his aggressive stock to work out long term. I've been to his house and have seen his tank. We are part of the same local fish club and I've traded fish with him... he's a good guy :D

When referencing him as an example you also have to keep in mind there are hundreds of others who have made similar attempts and met total devistation... Ample experience will make tanks such as the OPs possible, but very risky...

Then there is the angle of personal enjoyment... I think bare/empty tanks slam full of fish look like holding tanks at a fish market... but if that's what your into then that's your business...

Unfortunately fish are not protected by animal rights so what's best for them can be overlooked...

We'll said especially about those who have tried it and failed.
