will this work?

I actually have three 2" Pbass in a 29g with a blood parrot and a few other community fish. The blood parrot goes after most of the fish in the tank except the Pbass. Don't know the reason why but the BP never bothers them even when they hang out near the BP's domain. And I have one pissy BP too. Killed my girlfriends black ghost knife 2 weeks ago. As fpr the hiding, mine are out and about. Hardly ever see them hiding. So in IMO you should be fine.

Gradually turn up the temp to around 86. It will keep the ich from growing. A water change would also help. Good luck with the new Pbass.

You should only add aquarium salt when establishing new tanks or doing a water change. If you do a water change then add salt for the amount of water you changed. Don't add too much. It's not like a powder form. It sticks around for awhile. Adding alot could do some damage I think. Do a 20% water change then add some salt. Gradually get them temp up to 86 and wait. Patience is really the key. Believe me I know. When I first started and had problems I was doing all kinds of things. All it did was make things worse. If the ich isn't really bad do what we suggested. If it is bad then you may need meds. Hope this helps
