ok I had another post about a pleco community and it didn't seem to be attracting any good responses ( but one thanks ianab) now that I have found a good L number site thanx to the stickies. I need to know if this would work better

An L25 (scarlet)
http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=188
2 L21s (one regular common 1 albino)
http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=88
A L330 (watermelon)
http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=337
And a L165 (Gibbiceps/Sailfin)
http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=148

That would end up with 5 plecos that will all reach over 12" in a 125gal. no plants just plenty of rock and driftwood (if there is a difference between drift and bog wood some one fill me in PLZ). The only one I seem to be a little worried about is the scarlet. From what I have been hearing and reading they can be quite the pricks of the tank. I hope that buying them as juvies they will be cool with each other.

So the question remains for those who know more then I on the subject. Will this work? or not? There will also end up other fish in there too. some dithers and whatnot.

The scarlet is more of a meat eater then the rest of your pics. If you want to do a proper comm tank match the fish by diets as well as size.

Your pics will work as a comm tank if you add enough wood/caves. Make sure the plecs are all different sizes as the biggest will be boss generaly. A 12" royal vs a 12" scarlett=fights and stress all day long!!

thanks for the insight oscar... I want to get all juvies b/c they will have free roam of the tank and lots of room at that when they are young since they are going in a 72"x18" footprint. I am a little worried about the scarlet. But with the scarlet being the one that I want the most ( there coloration is amazing) I just can't budge with one. and also If I end up with to much problems with any one in particular I should have another tank setup by the time they start picking on each other to much.

Plz any more help would be great.

If any one has any of these plecos plz list at least what they feed the best on for you.

bump.... still looking for some insight if anyone has one of these guys. Or I am just going to assume that no one has them lol

ok thanks for the help guys ill look up what I didn't find out on my own (or try to) and ill let you know how this works out
