heres my stock plan for 225 1 silver aro,4 peacock bass(cichla ocellaris or mono) 1 ck,1 gar,and 1 polyoptarus endli. this tank will be filtered by a fluval fx5, aquaclear110,magnum 350, em fx5pirore 400? then in 1 year i will upgrade 2 another fx5. All the fish at the time of going in this tank should be 6-12inches. once the fish hit 14inches i cut back on feeding to every other day or 2 weekly. i should be able to upgrade to my plywood tank in 2 to 3 years. do you think the fish will last that long in this tank on that feeding schedule ?

Well alot of different fish there and may get too crowded. The average silver aro could stay in the 225g(assumming footprint of 6'x2') for 2 to 3 years, up to about 27". With silvers though you could get one that doesn't show average growth and you may need the larger tank sooner.

Should be ok for a while. Just curious why you running so many different types of filters. 2 FX5s alone should be enough to support that bioload.

well after perches of the tank, stand ,light, and lids i will only be able to drop $300 bucks on one filter for awhile so the others are a temp. thing also the old filters are mature that way no cycle time for the 225

buy your fx5 on ebay instead of a LFS youll save yourself $100 easy.
