hey everyone i have a green aro already
but i have been offed a silver will this combo work
there around the same size at the moment
and they will be going in a 1440 lt tank

regards
stuart

That tank seems pretty decent. I think it would be better if the silver was a tad larger, but it's worth a try for sure. If you want, add a Lei. Three arowanas in the same tank is better than even numbers.

Only way to tell is to give it a try, you should make sure you have means to separate if needed.

Really, this come from experience? The are many posted failures with three aros as there are with two. Worst thing is, that if it don't work now separate housing for three aros is needed.

Y E S you can put the two together... provided they are the same size as you mentioned... have had a green aro and silver together in a 6' x 2' x 2.5' before. both started out at aprox 6-7" when i placed them together no aggression just the normal food grabbing when MP or SW is throwed in IIRC. ...in my experience aggression started when there were 3 aros in the tank. I added an rtg when the green was about 8-9" silver was about 10-11"... but it was more of 2 vs 1 and rtg was doing all the aggression, he was even smaller than the green and silver. I named him Manny Pacquiao since :)

green Asian aros are one of the most aggressive of the Asian aros

it may work

if you didnt have experience with 3 aros together i suggest you not to give comments to beginners, and to OP i dont suggest you putting the green with silver, the green might pick on the silver(since alot of people say greens are aggressive)

If thats the case I may as well not post on MFK, since I have no experience with monster fish :screwy:
