Im not sure where i should have this thread, so mods please move it to where it belongs thanks.

Ok, i have 2 pigeon blood discus and a turquoise blue discus in a 120g with a silver arow and a featherfin catfish, i was wondering if i could have clown loaches with the discus?, i plan to add 3 more discus to finish the tank off, but i really need some bottom dwellers, and i love clown loaches. The arow is 8" and the discus are 4-5", the catfish is about 5" to. Thanks

I wouldn't. Clowns are very active and their constant movements may stress your discus. Plecs are better tankmates and will not bother them too much.:)

Do not do plecs with discus. Many plecs will eat the slime coating of the discus, and will kill them. CL are fine with discus, I have seen it numerous times in numerous tanks.

I agree, definately, clown loaches would be much better than plecs would, anyway your not a fan of them are you ryan lol. Some big cories possible or not?

Lol, yeh im not a big fan of plecs, and i was a little confused when i saw the first post, cos many ppl have told me not to keep plecs with discus and rays, and love clown loaches lol, so how many do you think i could have in my tank? 6 maybe?

CL would make an excellant addition mate! but ain't you had a load of them then sold them ??? :screwy:

Heh, Only a few plecos can be kept with discuss. I would go with maybe 8 cl or so.

yes danny, i had 8 of them, but when i was away i lost all of them along with 5 blood parrots, and a 14" tyre track eel, i thought you knew this.

I was thinking about large corys but i was also thinking that once the arow gets to about 12" they will be eaten :(.

Thanks for the comments everyone! im going to order 10 of them tonight (you save more if you buy 10 rather than 8 lmao)

As soon as they arrive, but im in america ATM, so until i get back to the Uk in 3wks time, then they will be mine lol
