I "daisy chained" the two together, fed the output of one to the input of the other with one outlet and strainer in the tank for the two filters. I'm loving it.
I really think this to be a bad idea.
You’re limiting the effectiveness of your filters this way.
Pretty sure you will see this yourself.
Pretty cool when the micron cartridge has done it’s job and your water is crystal, eh?
Just for a FYI, they recommend an overnight soak in the bleach bath when cleaning the cartridge.
I’ve found you can cut that time to about 2- 3 hrs.
I give mine a good, strong rinse.
Soak for about an hour in the bleach/water.
Strong rinse.
After that they really don`t get much cleaner.
I`ve pulled cartridges out that would barley pass water through the pleats. Even after a blast of fresh water, they were plugged.
After the hour soak and rinse, you could even see daylight through the membrane.
Additional soak time didn’t really add anything to the cleaning and the organics have already been killed off.
I do have an extra cartridge, that is clean, ready to use.
It does make a service really simple.
