I think it would be "fun" for a little while before the whole "most of my friends are zombies/dead, and everyone else is trying to kill me/eat my brains" part got old.
I think it would be a mixture of heartbreak and fun lol. Downside. family and friends most likely dead or infected. Up side.....Lets @#$% em up, kill em all. I think for a time it would be a lot of fun, then the reality would set in that my family and friends were gone and next to that the worst part would be NO MORE FISHIES!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Fish have been kept for thousands of years. We could make do with primitive tech. Shipping charges would be even worse than they are now though. 
As far as the whole social circle being infected or dead thing mine is small enough and close enough to protect so I'm good on that end.

Hey maybe thats why the egyptians liked cats so much, they used cat powered filtration on their fish pools.. now stay with me here. you put the cat on a conveyor belt facing the fish pool, so when the cat runs toward the fish, he moves the conveyor, which turns the impeller shaft which pumps the water see the egyptians were genius. lmfao.

Lep as soon as the Umbrella Corp. has a meltdown and we are in full blown spit hit the fan mode come get me.
Buddy your close enough, NO problem. The more hands to put weapons into the better. Travelling light only works for so long. Eventually you need to dig in. More hands up to 30 or so IMO is perfect esp with a wide variety of specialtys. Plenty of people to build quickly(you need fences) hunt effectively, farm effectively, and have enough to kill zombies(which we need lots of .22s pref suppressed and some bows, and bladed weapons.). So yes, in a SHTF zombie scenario, I will be actively recruiting.
Ya know, Ive always thought about getting on a sailboat and living out my time on the high seas during a zombie outbreak.
