Sweet. A good friend of mine has a 700but its not chambered for 300. Great rifle, no input really on optics, my standards in that department aren't very high.

nice, I plan on building a 300 win mag like yours this spring but im kinda torn, I dont know weather to build the 300 or to go for a 338 lapua...I still need to do a load more research before I decide, do you know how much of a diff there is between the 2 performance wise?

yah, Idk much about the 338 lapua except one of my ODA friends has told me that they are the shiznit. The only long range weapons I have been trained on/used are the M-14 and M-24, the 24 is just a geeked out version of the Rem. 700 but its a .308...while I really like the M-24 I had (not to mention the night vision/thermal scope) I allredy have a Springfield SOCOM II wich is .308 so I want to up the ante' for my LR
