So I'm setting up a 180gal tank. Part of it will sectioned off to have dry sand for my turtle, On my last tank this left tons of scratches so i was thinking about using window safety film http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=313& it is suppose to protect and strengthen glass.

This shouldn't be much of a problem, but i was thinking about putting it on the bottom too but i'm not sure if it will stay on the glass or be fish safe. Any body have experiences with this or have knowledge about this?

Thanks

tini comes off of cars sometimes. and with heated water inside your tank it will probably do it even faster

This product is made to be installed on the interior of windows. This would lead me to believe that it isn't made for exposure to the elements. Why not use thin clear lexan instead to protect the glass?
