Windows Vista

wow....there sure a lot of haters here. I have vista on a 2ghz Core 2 Duo with 1 GB of ram and so far i haven't had any problems.

I didnt buy it for it's security features or "user friendliness", but mainly because it looks cool.

Everything so far has gone smoothly, only thing that pisses me off is the verification process. other than that, its pretty sweet.

oh and btw, i think mac os is gey.

most people that have probs with Vista dont have Dual Core or 1gb of ram. Or they just complaining because it's MS.

The main gripe I've come across alot is people not having the video card to use Aero. so it's basically a shiny xp.

also, that usb flash ram thing doesnt work like you would think. It's not physical so you're not getting the full use of whatever size you use. so 512mb is no different than 4gb.

so after 3 months, I'd say with Aero it's a nice OS but without it, just keep XP (Dell is ) and get the app to make xp look like Vista/OSX...

I've had Vista installed on my AMD64 since it came out. It took a bit to get the hardware all up and running, most of the drivers and software are still beta versions. I suspect that it will be quite some time before they are finalized.

I waited for VISA to be released to re-install windows computer, mostly cuz I got tired of buying copies/licenses of XP for all the computers in the house and wanted to play with MS's new attempt at an operating system.
