to all of you in FL and souther CA neither your summers or winters are as warm as it is here. the hottest it got here this year i believe was 122 and today was about 86-88, but even on xmas day i can start the morning in sweat pants and a t-shirt and b4 you know it its time to put on some shorts and a light jacket. but i HATE the cold so even when it is like 40 at night and early morning i wear longjons, pants, maybe a sweatshirt and a jacket plus a beanie. so i have no complaints around here i would rather goto the lake or a pool in the summer than try to stay warm in the winter. its always easier to get cooler than it is to warm up.

and for me it is easier to put on some more clothes then take everything..off... once it is off and your still roasting theres not much else you can do...:ROFL:but i think if you live in a warm climate all your life you cannot go into the cold with out difficulty ... i do not know if it is true but they say your blood thins out and you do not feel the heat as much... but anyway...it is hot hot where you live... no getting away from that...

true true, in the summer when its 105 it doesnt feel that bad, but one it gets past 110 its just f*ing hot but its only humid mid june-aug/sept. but yeah hopefully one day i could live someone decent year round, but not anytime soon

we usually dont get snow here in atlanta. it was pretty cold today though, it was about 42F with 30mph gusts of wind. suppose to be colder tomorrow though. i cant wait for christmas when i go down to orlando, hopefully it'll be warmer then.

I'm jealous. We get snow every year, just nothing usually more than a foot or so (and that's only once in 3 years). We get ICE. I hate ice storms. If you've never had to experience one, you're a lucky sob. We've had bad ones each of the last two years. The first one took our power for 11 days in as low as single digit temps, ripped out my weatherhead, which put a hole in the roof and split my cieling, ripped out siding and soffit and blocked two of our three exits from my house with fallen trees (I live on what is essentially a 3-way corner). Luckily we still had gas to heat water. I was doing 6 water changes a day, on a tank covered with about 15 blankets and running on a battery powered air pump, just to keep it in the 50's. My fish are hardy little guys . I have a generator now, so screw you ice! I've got some pics, but they're a little nastier than the pretty ones posted lol.
