Testing filled tonight for leaks, will check on it tmw if there is any water leaking on the concrete floor. If it leaks project is scraped and I will have to buy a tank Cant risk leaking as this is going in my room and I am putting down a wood floor tmw and the following week. ps those are stains on the ground not water!
what are you putting in there and hopefully temp right???? if i had a choice between an inflatable kiddy pool and a tank as a permenant home, i would definately choose tank. just build a pond....depending on the size of tank you need a pond might suffice since an inflatable pool is being concidered.
Only one, which could be a bad thing if the pleco spazes. I am sure he will be fine though, iv never seen him reverse and go nuts. I will just keep his house closer to the middle.
My finned kids yes! Im only 23 no kids for a long time!

Yes its a temp. All my guys are in a 55gallon, and most of them are 9-10" long and it stresses me out seeing them in there. A pond has crossed my mind, but theres no way in money wise I am going to keep that thing 76-77 degrees in the winter, plus feeding them etc rain snow. I want a 135 gallon, glass cages has one for $275 but they are no where near me for pick up. Petsmart has a 120 with stand and all for $350 so that would be my next back up if this pool doesnt work. My stock is in my sig.
To me it feels pretty thick material. I want to get a layer of plastic and put it on the bottom so there is a layer between the actual bottom and sand/rocks to prevent any nicks
you would be better off with a plastic kiddie pool walmart sells them for like $10.. at that price you can get 2 or 3 off them and just keep them all stacked together that way you dont have to worry about rips and the whatnot.. the plastic ones also offer a bit more insulation
I would have gone the snapset route, but I want to see the fish from the side. Why have colorful fish if I cant see them. Also helps me look at them from the side and see if anyone gets injured, and if the catfish are finding there food on the bottom, they are still babies so they need to be pampered. I just checked on the pool real quick with a led flashlight, no leaks so far from what I can tell!
So if this works its only going to be filled with about 140gallons of water instead of the 200 it can hold. Dont need the floor going nuts on me. Was origionally looking at the sequence snapper pump with 2400gph, but 16 over turn rate would be one massive whirl pool. So maybe a quite one 6000 will do. Im waiting on the rebate check to get one of the pumps, so I will just keep the magnum 250 and cascade 1000 on for the time being, gives me a 3.8 turn over rate for at most 4 weeks.
