Wish me luck

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
dude are you serious. that screams bad idea, you've already mention some one else having one and a dog popped it..... why even risk it. I wouldn't even put that thing inside let alone my bedroom. sorry if I'm being a dick but damn.

well the guy with the 150 wont reply to my emails so f him. I emailed glass cages to see if they can ship a 135 to my door. This crap is stressing me out. Id throw them out in the pool right now outside if I didnt fear for there safety being out doors.

glass cages said 290 +275 for tank to ship to my door. 70$ for pickup in rockford which is a 90 mile drive. I think this weekend I am going to setup the pool inside and go from there. these fish need room now, not in 4 weeks. Im looking at saturday night or sunday for it to be switched over, just need to get another 200 watt heater and I am golden. I think my canister will be able to work. Pools been up for 4 days with no leaks so Im gonna wrap the bottom in plastic, put a layer of plastic underneath and pour the sand in. Im excited and scared at the same time. I bounce on the floor where its going to go and there is no movement (235lbs I am) So I think 140-150gallons shouldnt be a problem going across 4 joists.

i contemplated doing the same kind of thing becuase i used to have a small pool over 1000 gallons semi infltable and some sort of tarp like material it was only 300 canadian but it was always to cold to use we checked into heating it and it was sooooooooooo expensive and that was before i had two kids.(went to the dump)

But what i really want to know is were you able to heat this thing.(just a question it might be plausible for me for somthing similar for a temp tank for me if this is true can you give me a price. (please and thank you)

Well I am setting it up tomorrow, drained it today, setup the pool and transfer the fish into it so I can finish the other part of my floor. For heating Im just going to use 2 200watt heaters. I am not filling it up to its 205 gallon capacity due to my floors sake, just 140-150gallons. Pictures should be following sometime tmw afternoon.

Teaser pic, im editing the vid and uploading soon. Fish dont know exactly what to think of this new place with sand and no walls to hit when they turn around. Catfish seem to love it a BIG area to swim in. Pleco, tinfoils were ONE HELL of a time to catch. I need to get another heater still, power strip and build something for the lights since I made a temp for them just so I can make the vid. I also tripped and put a hole in my wall, another thing to fix ugh

Hmmm, well...good luck! Very interesting set up I have to say....Where are you putting the heaters on a plastic "tank"...I hope you have really strong lungs as I'm sure you'll be blowing it quite a bit. I do have kids and have had several "blow up" pools...they don't hold air for long.

Your fish, I'm sure to appreciate the room they have...I bet they were like "Hey, I can turn and I'm not bumping anything, what the heck";)

The heater is by the side by hanging about 6" away. No need for good lungs, I have a air mattress pump :). Pleco really doesnt know whats going on, hes just sitting on the sand going "uh wtf?" They are all hanging around together at one side of the pool haha. Few days of adjusting and they should be golden. Now to keep my eye out for a 135-150gallon tank thats 72" long. Then I will feel more at ease instead of this temp pool.
