with current stock should i add...

You could try heavily overstocking as Pete said. Other option is to cut WAAAAY back.

If you really want that Festae, make sure its a female.

I like the idea of keeping SA and CA seperate.

Nic, JD, Cons together.

Sevs, GT, Acara.

Loiselle, texas, carpinte, festae.

This scenario needs 3 big tanks thio.

....Bill

Sounds like trouble any way you cut it

I highly doubt the festae would survive to reach maturity, especially if any breeding occurs. They grow much more slowly than most of the fish that are in the 150.

One very important question...what are the dimensions of the 150? There's a 6 foot 150 gallon, a 5 foot 150 gallon and a 4 foot 150 gallon that are fairly common sizes.

while i think this tank is definitely super overstocked and he shouldnt get a festae unless he seriously thins out his stock, i dont think a young
festae would have an issue in the aggression department, i was raising a young festae that i had since it was a tiny fry and added it to my large tank when it was only 1in and the other juvies were all ranging from 2-4in at the time of his introduction and he held his own with no problems at all, when all of them grew and doubled in size he was still only about 3in but nobody bothered him at all and they were all aggressive fish including the largest being a carpintis at over 6in and a JD, midas, argentea, and a couple others, he was tough as nails before i went with a more peaceful stock and re-homed him

72" is 6ft not 7ft, but yeah thats cool those are good measurements to have but its still over crowded unless that is the route you are trying to go with, which would require a lot of luck and TONS of water changes, if your willing to do that many water changes then do what you want its your tank, but i know i would never be able to sustain doing multiple large water changes a week to keep them happy, i stock my tanks so that i only have to do one change on the weekend and feed how i want and my nitrates still stay below 10ppm

yeah 72" is 6ft sorry i was tired last night :headshake

I'm getting rid of the blood parrots, i got a friend who wants them. Im going to move the severums(3) to the 55 with the blue acara. I really dont even want to keep the acara, i bought him labeled as a green terror and...well...its not:irked:

That makes the stock in the 150:
2 carpintis
2 loiselli
2 texas
1 green terror
+1 festae, hopefully female

and these are all juvies 3-4" +/-
