That stinks. Good reason to have thermometers on the tank and actually look at them. sorry for the harshness, but it is a good practice when you are feeding or just looking at your fish to take a glance at the thermometer, just takes a second.

Ive got a thermoeter on the tank , i just woke up came down and it had to be under 10 as almost all the fish where dead , all the others what i saved where on there sides just about breathing, im just uploading my camrea on to this laptop and ill put some pictures up of what i lost !

How cold did your tank get before you noticed?

I thought it was warm on mars... only kidding of course hoping to lighten mood.

What I do to prevent that, as I have had the same issue; is to have my water pumps and heater plugged into the same power strip. This way I turn off the power strip to do the change, that way I can't forget to turn the heaters on.

I do the same just the heater manged to unplug some how, i have a 2 year old so thats the only way i can put it down to how it got unplugged.

and yes mars is warm but on the nights its cold haha , cheers for the worry though mate !

That sux reminds me of the time my filter was leaking and i had one of those atomatic feeders and was gone for a week. Wen i came home all the water was gone. My small pacu, rtc, tinfoil barbs, whiptail plecos, parrot chichild, all died. All that was left was a big oscar and a big pacu. Barely made it...

sad srry about ur loss Well not all! but most of it. Enogh to kill my fish.
