Woke up to some random guy in our house?!?!

how do people go to bed without checking all the locks and windows first? I do this every single night. plus i have an alarm system setup now, it actually makes you sleep alot better.

you did the right thing. i would've done them in a different order. I would've called the cops, pull the gun, then woke him up. tell him to book because the cops on their way.

you guys who would shoot him with no questions asked or beat the crap outta him is just asking for trouble.

Well looking at your sig and your location, you obviously live in a very different place than I do lol. A lot of people feel comfortable leaving their windows open at night around here.

We figures he was pretty harmless so that's why we didn't call the cops right away. We were going to let him just leave but then he wouldn't so that's when the cops were called

My alarm is my dogs, no one is getting in a door or window without the whole house waking up.

X2.. My dogs are my alarm when i'm home and i have a regular alarm when i'm gone.
 
The windows and doors are always locked. Hell I walk in the apartment and lock the door right behind me. ALso the all blinds are closed before it's lights out in my place. I don't want ANYONE seeing in my place. It's my apartment. I don't see how people can leave doors open all day and blinds up all night and windows open and such. The worlds to crazy now a days. This is the good ole 50's or something. People get shot for being different skin color or looking at someone the wrong way.

OP I would have done the exact same thing. Even if he was drunk and wasn't thinking and walked in and fell asleep this man needs to learn the hard way that you can't just do this in America.
 
You should have a dog.. at least he would awake you to the intrusion... that is very scary

Yeah we will definitely get a dog when we move into our house. Right now we're living in a 1br apartment and that is no place for a dog.
