Wolf Cichlid

Well grandma recently bought a wolf cichlid (dovii) from the LFS. Guess the man told her it would be fine in my 2500 gallon pond. Problem is I have other large fish and turtles in there. Seems like my Oscar is chasing his ass all around. Any chance this guy will be killed, or kill something of mine? Never owned the cichlid group besides my big old OSCAR DE LA HOYA.

id give it a while, the oscar wont be chasing the dovii for long. ow big is it??

they are well know for being very aggressive and not to tolerate other fish. yours may be ok because of it being in a 2.5kG pond. i wouldnt be supprised if it kills other inhabitants to be honest, you can only wait and see.

Good chance when he settles in, all life will be lost aside from him...I have however seen community dovii on a few occasions....

haha wont be waiting for long. I put him up on craigslist already lol. Cant have all that going on. Hes about 10-12 inches, lil smaller than my Oscar. Have a giant Gar, 14 inch ID Catfish, and a 8 inch FW flounder, plus all my smaller turtles. Ive got a couple people that want to trade, ones want to give me his 8 inch Red belly piranha *dont think thats happening lol* id love to thO!

personally id rather keep the dovii but its down to you man, how much did you pay?

20 bucks i think, it was a drop off at the LFS, the grandma just had to grab a new fishy lol

yea he seems like a neat ass fish, but a deadly one to my pondmates lol. Dont have a tank to keep him around. Im waiting on my 24 inch Arowana on Monday...no way in hell im chancin him lol. You want him? You can buy him! Please someone take this goofy fish.

u pay for gas, ill pay for food. Ill bring my flounder with me* haha What can you put with these monsters? Im assuming only other big cichlids?
