well people can keep them with other fish, just not always, you may be lucky enough to keep him with other fish. id keep him until you know he's gonna kill your fish.

i think ill keep him until i get someone who wants to trade for something. Not partial to cichlids, i enjoy the HUGE fishes. I want my damn pacu back lol
dovii get massive, 20" easyily for a male, keep him if he's not aggressive to other inhabitants man!!
In a pond that size everyone will be ok. This isn't your average crowded set up guys. Its a 2.5k gallon pond! Whats the foot print? you will not be disappointed by this fish I say you definitely keep him.
In a 2500 gal pond I wouldn't hesitate to keep him.I'd throw in quite a few other cichs like RDs ,midas,Trimacs etc.This would disperse his aggression and hopefully keep it away from others like Aros etc.99% of the bad luck stories you here will always be in tanks smaller than 1000g.Usually much smaller.
Haha, cant lose the Oscar, its my brothers buddy. Hes too cool anyway, he eats out of my hand an gives kisses when you put your palm in the water. We got the dovii cuz we needed to give him another buddy. He had a big ass pacu friend, an since the pacu passed hes been trying to be buds with the gar, but he aint having it lol.
the dovii might work in a body of water that big, but it deffinetely wont be buddies with your oscar.
