How many of you have kept a pleco with your wolf fish? I had one with my 15in common but he had to stay in constant shelter, otherwhise he was sure to be food! I just picked a 3-4 incher up and am hoping the 6in common will allow him to share the tank. I'll keep you all posted. Maybe I should start a poll to see how long it will last...lol.

I think the plec should be fine expecially since the wolf is still young. I mean all wolves are different and I have seen numerous wolf tanks w/ plecos. I would make sure your wolf is WELL FED before introducing the pleco into the tank. This way your wolf will be lazy as he has a full belly and he just ate. Provide hiding places for the plec that the wolf cant get into, this way if it turns bad he can escape if you are not around to view whats happening. Keep an eye on them, but you do know plecs excrete alot of waste, more than they clean up...keep that in mind and GOOD LUCK...;)

Well, he's still alive. I looked last night and this morning but couldn't find him anywhere, I thought for sure he was a gonner. Upon closer inspection he was behind a rock sucking on my new driftwood :). I couldn't believe that the pleco managed to squeeze between such a tight spot but I'm sure it was to take shelter from the wolf!

Sounds like he's learning how to STAY ALIVE.....;)

Yea, this is the problem I had with the last pleco though. He would sit inside a cave of a few rocks 24/7, which sort of defeats the purpose of having one in the first place (to clean). I bought it to remove some white fuzz growth on some driftwood I recently acquired but it looks like that may not be happening..haha.

Give it some time and he might venture out a lil more if he feels comfortable and until the wolf is used to seeing him or knowing he's in there keep the wolf well fed. But you also know wolves are unpredictable so one day he might decide hes had enuff of the lil pleco. Keep an eye on em and good luck
