My thoughts on this was the pleco might develop a taste for the wolf's slime coat. This has happened with bichirs as well. Just one more thing to look out for ;)

Very true....it can happen, but in this case I dont think the lil pleco is gonna get anywhere close enough to try and suck the wolf's slime coat after he almost lost his life.....:WHOA::WHOA::WHOA:

If he does then he is truly....:screwy::screwy::screwy:

I would laugh my a** off if I seen him trying to suck the wolf's slime coating. lol....He's been hanging out at the very top of the tank lately, safety first I guess. I'll have to try and snap a pic of him sometime this week. He's a lil guy.

Pleco became dinner last night :( No where to be seen in the tank so I can only assume the worst. People have kept mala's with other tankmates correct? What am I dong wrong here? Bigger tank or do I need to start with a bigger fish than he is or both?

wolves usually do much better with tankmates when they are raised with other fish from a small size, say 2 - 3 inches.
if they are constantly kept with other fish they become lil puddy tats.
also, try to have other tankmates of around the same size,or at least 2/3 of the wolfs body length and it should be thick or high bodied so it isnt easily swallowed.
all my malas have been kept with tankmates cause i get them small and they get used to other fish cause i dont believe in species only tanks.:D

Very true...wolves can have tankmates and its best to start them very young. This way they understand that the tank is not all theirs and everyone can set their own territories. If u let a wolf establish dominance and think that the tank is all his, then you will have problems, b/c they will rid the tank of tankmates as soon as the lights go off. Always remember if u do provide tankmates they are close in size and a tough fish that can fight back...LOL. Im sorry for your pleco, at least your wolf is HAPPY...Hes good and full...

AND CHANNA....YOUR WOLVES PISSED ME THE HELL OFF...SO I WONT EVEN GO THERE...:ROFL::ROFL:

Should I try tossing in a RBP's from my other tank? Not sure what would happen there but at least it would have a fighting chance, I would think. I dont think I've ever heard of a RBP being kept with a wolf fish though. After all aren't they called, "piranha eaters"?!

This combo def. wont work....LOL. The wolf will kill them and they could also injure him, although I doubt it. The P's will be new to the tank and skittish at first and he will kill them especially since they dont hide like plecos do. Your best bet is to get a larger pleco or why not just let the wolf have the tank to himself, but the P's is a bad idea and not worth risking either fish being injured...;)
