Okay, Iv'e done my research about the Common Wolf fish and want one. I have been told by MFK members that they are mean as hell and will kill my fish. I enjoy the predatory type fish as I have had several Oscars in the past. I am looking for any comments on this subject for and against getting a Wolf fish. Thnx

Depends on the fish, I had a 16"er that never bothered any fish...and I had one that was the devil.

Ive only had one in the past and it was mean. What are you thinking about putting it in with?

Mine will not accept any tankmates. You could get lucky but if you get one it's best that you are not too attached to the other fish in the tank.

They don't need a HUGE tank, I think going with this is cool because If you keep them smaller than the rest of the fish in the tank, you should not have a problem if it is fed well.

If you get to a point where it starts to get a bit out of control it's a good way to expand the hobby for yourself. (who's only keeping one tank these days!!):naughty:, and since they don't need a whole lot of space it would be a good way to start up another project without alot of hassle.

wolf fish are nice and all but other then when they eat, theres nothing more to it. Most only eat at night so your not even going to see it much

what i've been doing is instead of leaving feeders in the tank overnight, i will only put in food when i want to watch it.

so i feed my fish live feeders twice a month, but i like to mix it up with frozen foods / meal worms, night crawlers, and baby cichlids.
