You are correct. It is Ery Sp. Peru. Really good looking fish now, Closely related to the Hifin but not as active. Only 8" max but would still eat the kitchin sink:)

Here's a pic of the KING of all wolffish! He's currently a Shark Aquarium, for @ $3000 he could be all yours. Over 3 feet long, and giant girth! I have been a tropical fish hobbist for a LONG time and this is truly the baddest TROPICAL fish I ever saw! Picture does NOT do this fish justice, since it's in a 10 foot long tank!

I hope this doesn't come off "know-it-all'ish," but aimara are not black wolfish. The black wolves are an undescribed species that come from the xingu river. And to me, they seem to be more similar to lacerdae. Aimara is the king of all wolves. They get the largest and typically are more aggressive then the other wolf species, but there are always acceptions to the rule.

Anyones input is always welcome to me, KRSwop1, I can only go by what I read or find on the internet, as to how others label their fish! Well atleast I got the Aimara part right, so when I guy told me his Aimara was a black wolffish , I took it for gospel.
