wolf fish vs snakehead

I agree DlN!

Damn, my bet is on the Aimara. Those huge jaws with the jagging sharp teeth frightens me. The Aimara is a wolfish who doesn't just stay around and sit still like those other wolfish. It will attack anything that gets near it and I guarantee almost anything alive wont get away unharmed. Those stories about the giant snakeheads 7-10 ft. are just myths, until a picture is provided for us to see. The picture of the Aimara looks freakin mean and scary as heck. It looks built and is huge. Just to show how aggressive it is, here is a link to a video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaxgylgahr4

I know this thread is OLD...but I had bn wanting to reply for a while but couldnt as I was having problems getting registered...either way people always bring up that the common wolf jus sits around, this in my book would give it the advantage. The common wolf is just as nasty as the Aimara, at least the ones I have seen, they dont quite as large though. Of course all fish are different so I have also seen some docile wolves, but for the most part they are AGGRESSIVE, MEAN, fish who dont move around alot. The Snakehead would be swimming around and leave itself open for attack from underneath whereas the wolf would not react till the snakehead came into to view...and I totally agree with the things said above the wolves are built for combat. Both species have powerful jaws and sharp teeth (wolves and snakeheads), but the strong, muscular, body and scale structure of the wolves I believe would give it the upper hand. Well sorry for the long post, but I had bn wanting to say that for a while...LOL...and I love Snakeheads as well...GREAT FISH...and Im not trying to take anything away from them...

Which fish do you guys think would be more agressive? Also...who has sharper and stronger teeth?
If your snakehead is from the giant snakehead species (refer picture), the wolf fish don't have a chance.

I would say Aimara vs Giant Snakehead = whoever gets first bite

Common Wolf or Lacerdae vs other snakeheads = who gets the first bite

Yeah I have to agree! Whoever gets the first bite will probably win. Then again whenever you place a new fish into the tank they tend to be really stressed out , so if you put a snakehead in a Wolf's tank it will get beaten up, if it happens the other way around the Wolf will get beat up.

Its tough to say but maybe they should put a Snakehead and Wolf fish in a big pond together at the same time and see who acclimates first and attacks.:headbang2
