I really want a Hoplias Aimara. Can anyone tell me requirements.

get to 4 feet.
handle with extreme caution.
not picky about water conditions.
they are the largest of wolves, but they grow pretty slow ive heard.
less than an inch per month and will take some time to get to 4 feet.
once again,handle with CAUTION.
eats basically any meaty foods.
very very aggressive towards tankmates usually.
but seichi has one of his with rays.
very hard to find and very expensive.
good luck if you ever come across any.
theres less than 10 in the US i think.

I still think a Cichlid like a Dovii of EQUAL size is more agressive, and would make the other fish run like a wussy.

I owned a Redline Snakehead, who got to about 14" and couldnt handle his own against any cichlid that was over 8".

And when it battled my 12" Lenticulata Pike, it got absolutely annihalated, and I put the Pike in the SH tank whilst moving fish around. The SH never recovered from its battle with the Pike. Cichlids win when it comes to sheer agression.

HAHA......Cichlids only win off of territorial aggression...thas it. When it comes to sheer fighting ability they dont have the tools to deal with wolves or snakeheads....sure they have teethm but not like wolves and snakeheads....:naughty:

NOW IM GONNA SIT BCK ONCE AGAIN...AND ......:popcorn::popcorn:
