So this is the deal, in my 55g i have the following. 1 jack, 1 small pleco, 5-6 inchs, 2 rubber lips (lazy sons of a... ahem...) a something eel, BGK prob 6-7inches, and my wolf. I add in comet goldfish for him since he NEVER willingly comes out. I leave bits of raw chicken in there for him, my jack seems to enjoy that more than him. I have some slate in there leaning aginst the side of the tank and he hides behind that ALL THE TIME. In the last 2 months i have seen him... twice sitting on the bottom waiting for food i guess. After he seen me and i had left, he went back to his spot. Im wondering if this is normal. I spoke to the lady at http://www.aquascapeonline.com/ and she said she HATED feeding him, so led me to think he was highly agressive. WELL, i need ideas on what to feed this thing to get him to come from hideing and enjoy life. Anyone have one that want to share some tips?

I have 1 light off on my 55, one on. He hides on the right hand side, even when the light is off. I thought about takeing out the rock but i wouldnt want him to get overly pissed. Are they jumpers?

I kind of asumed they did that when they wanted some food, just wondered what other people fed the ones they had. I dont know if mine will eat chicken but im guesing it will eat feeder goldfish, dont want to feed him that tho. Fatty food.

They had a bunch of them at the LFS today, with two large bags of gravel on the tanks lid. There was over 20 of them. The fish catcher said they are known to jump out.

Wow, 20 of them. Im guessing in 1 tank? i have just a plastic black lid, and some cardboard on the back holes. I cant seem to find a glass lid that will fit.
