They can be in with other hardy fish around the same size or bigger, nothing smaller tho. Knifefish, gar arowana, and some cats. Just know that even with these fish he can have spats and bite them and maybe even kill them if he's uncomfortable in the tank or Hungary, so keep hides in the tank so he can hide and feed him well. Normally when I had problems it was because I waited a extra day befor feeding.
It's a hit and miss. Red wolves can be kept will tankmates to big to eat while the other species can be kept with large top to mid swimming fish with minimal damage. You can expect some casualties or some minor injuries such as missing scales and tattered fins. The other bottom dwellers will be bullied like crazy. red can be kept with bottom dwellers with some scuffles.
