OK thanks He's 5" now so your saying 2years before he hits 1footI assume you're talking about hoplias malabaricus. If so, I've had Satan for two years in a 125 gallon and he's about 12.5-13". Some websites say they can grow up to 2' in the wild and even larger in aquariums. I'm not sure I agree. Maybe the aimara but I don't think the malabaricus would. Satan is my first wolf fish so I don't have a lot if experience. Hope this helps.
