Wolf fish

I’ve been thinking about a wolf fish for a while and I have an extra 40b. I’m looking for any suggestions on types for that size tank and any additional info. It would be solo in the 40

Probably a red wolf. That’s about as much as I know about them.

Red wolf or Purple wolf fish will work.

Reds are the smallest around 8-10 inches and Gold wolfs next around 15 though they are a lot more active. Commons or blacks are a lot larger and need a bigger tank. Not much to know about wolfs though they are pretty hardy, love to eat, and can hang with the big boys. I think of them as the black Jaguar of the big cat world lol pound for pound the baddest

I might have a 55 for the wolf fish, I would like to move my belly crawler pike to the 55 as well, my BCP is very territorial but keeps his territories small, one cave and a few inches around it. Do you think one of the smaller wolfs would work in a 55 with the BCP? I know it’s just speculation but appreciate any input.
