Make sure you weigh down the lid too. When I first got mine he was jumping like crazy, and they jump with a lot of force.

yup, I saw the attempt this afternoon, I now place a stone on top of the lid. Its a bit too much though this guy is only around 10cm.

very easy wolf to id. great for a 40 gallon. i would get one if they were for sale around here but my ck would kill the lil guy but her wont mess with my mala

is wolf fish legal in your area? after seeing some of the wolf fish species, I'm tempted to get the black wolf fish... but they are so rare and incredibly expensive here.
For now, I'm really glad that I have the red wolf fish in my tank. The only thing to do now is waiting for the guy to eat a food, since I haven't seen him/her swallows anything just yet :wall:

a little progress from my wolf fish,
after few days in the new tank, the little wolf finally strikes a feeder fish in front of me. Though he is small, but he doesn't seem to be afraid of anyone passing by his tank.

I have a question about the jumping. I had a wolf get an infection because he jumped so much and injured his head. Is there anyway to prevent that?

mine jumped on the first day I got him, landed on the floor, then I immediately put him back in his tank. Since then I put a tight lid on top, but I still saw him hitting the top lid trying to escape, but few days latter he never done that again till now.
As I read from the forum, it seems that there is something wrong with the water parameter which cause the wolf jumps. Or else he wouldn't do so other than banging him self against the glass. Mine wants to bite my finger every time I touch the glass.
I think the damage caused by jumping and hitting the top can be reduced if the water level is higher, just to reduce distance of jumping. What type of wolf is yours?tank size?tankmates?
