I have a black Wolf that I've had for a few months, and he never had a problem eating (in fact he ate 2 Jack Dempsey, green terror, and a fire mouth). Since I got tired of him eating my cichlids I move him to a larger tank, and he has stopped eating. He is still king of the tank, and is still active he just won't eat( I've tried feeders, beefheart, and pellets). I'm just wondering is this normal? Do they go on hunger strikes like this? Or should I be looking for something else?

Likely still settling in. How big? Usually don't go on hunger strikes until around a foot. But blacks seem to be more likely to go on hunger strikes ime.

Are the feeders being quarantined before offering to the Black Wolf. Also when some fish mature they will not eat everyday. I have a mature ery purple wolf that is offered food every other day and sometimes it ignores food.

He's only about 6"... still pretty active (for a wolf anyway) just not eating.

Yes they are, I don't usually feed him feeders, just trying to get him to stimulate him to eat since he won't eat his usual pellets and frozen beefheart.

How long has it been since it ate? If under a month I wouldn't worry. My curu didn't eat for the first two months I had and was only 8".

My Lacardae and my aimara went on a hunger strike for almost 2 months. Then it ate nonstop for 2 months then on and off again every few weeks. Nothing to worry about
