from the looks of a bullet wound, He was killed by a hunter and the wolves got a hold of him. that is what it looks like to me. Very cool pics.

It just comes instinctive to them. When I throw a deer leg to my pet wolf (that I raised from a pup) I am the only one that can go near him. He just changes instantly. he goes from cuddling on the couch all day and playing to growling at anyone that goes near his food in a second.

Exactly. Even house cats do it. I can scratch 'em on the head while they're eating cat food and they purr, but if they're working on a squirrel they wont let me get near
