i think im gonna get a wolf fish in a 125g so what could tank mates be? more wolf fish? lmb? jag cichlid? im new to these so the tank mates could be very rediculis:banhim: but that what im asking this for so what would you put with one?

I cant speak from experience, but I have heard jags and wolf fish do not get along. One way or another the bigger of the two with dominate the other from what I have heard.

Depends on the Wolf, my 13" Mala went from 4" to 12" almost overnite, took less than 6 months. Now he's gettin really broad and mean as hell. My Payaras nor my New World Cichlids have ever shown this type of growth rate. However I did have a Hi-Fin Rainbow that co-hab'd w/ Salvini for a year. The Hi-fin was much slower growing and much more mellow, but the key words there are "Did Have". I keep my Mala. solitary in very low light and that tank needs no other fish.

yes if fish aren't full grown, mixing isn't easy because of varied rates of growth. But i'd say mid to high water fish that are nearly as long as the wolf and/or twice as tall would work fine. give the wolf a place to call it's own. I keep mine with a jag and there's no beef. individual personality and how well fed the fish are will play a part in this as well.
