Fish, especially the type of fish that most of us keep, are feral. Fish are the axe-murderers of the pet industry.
Beat and kill their mates while breeding? Check.
Claim the entire house as there own, and kill everyone else in it? Check.
Eat the children? Check.
Fish are NOT cuddly. They do not like you. They do NOT want you to pet them. They do NOT want to jump in your lap. Heck, unless you feed them, they pretty much either ignore you, or attack you.

I personally have no issue with my g.f... she in fact got a tank herself after seeing my 8... lol I guess everyone has a different story
