Female platies can store sperm.

I'm not sure but wouldn't they have bred by then if they had stored sperm? I've had them for going on 5 or so months now.

So here's my updated plan:
11 Neons
1 DG (researched more into GBRs and they seem hard to keep) I called my local store and they don't have any Plakats unfortunately.

well damn, guess ya got me. Though I don't think that is all that common, and the betta can't swallow the fish whole like a predator would. I've kept bettas with small schoolers like white clouds for years with no problem. But, I guess it is possible.

I think that video was mainly the result of the Betta being in a vase and being expected to eat the roots so he was starving.

We kept our Bettas with small tetras, guppies etc with no problem, looks like the fish eaten by the betta in the vid is a fry,which honestly most fish would eat, we kept ours with neons and glolights among other fish

I swear I saw a picture of a Betta with the tail of a neon sticking out of his mouth a few years ago, I’ll see if I can find it.

You can keep your first list if you increase your water change schedule. A 20 long is a lot better than a regular 20 gallon.

Would a 50 percent change weekly be good?

I bought my fish home and one of them has had a long stringy red colored poop attached/stuck to it since yesterday. I did some googling and this may or may not be a symptom of a internal parasite. Can anyone confirm?
