However as of now is comon turt in most of its range. However its on the apendix 1 of cites because it was asked to be given such a conservasion priority by Butan many years ago. Reserch has shown it doesant deserve it, however that doesant afect its cites status so its cataloged as endangered without being wich makes them almost inpossible to get wich is a shame since they are neat litle turts. But that may be about to change since there are a handfull of people that bred them both in the US and in Europe
