Wood tank questions

man do you know what you are saying or do you just reply to say something not being rude but silicone will not hold the wood together very well it needs to be fiberglassed and painted with epoxy then use silicone to hold the glass in place
Like others have said, do the math. Just doesn't work out for a small tank, unless you are doing it all glass/acrylic and want to do a different/custom shape. For $550 I could buy a 75 glass tank, nice stand and canopy (wife approved on the looks). Or I could build a plywood tank 8x3x2. (instead of the tank though I bought a FAL...)
