:) People have been talking about recovering our operations jobs forever now...either it will never happen or the factory workers will have to be realistic about how much a factory worker really worth.

As for the quality of the product, there is no magic there. If the spec from the customer is cheap, than it will be cheaply made. If the spec calls for better quality, then it will be made better(price adjusted to reflect better quality stuff. The factory's profit is about the same anyway.

Start by checking your tv I'm sure you didn't pay a dollar for that. How about xbox or ps3. Radio. Come on now you use more stuff than you think made in China and its not a big deal. Seriously think about what you say before you say it.

Yep, and sometimes it really doesn't make any difference... I use Calphalon cookware 2/3s of my stuff is from Ohio and others are from China. 10 years into it, no difference whatsoever. The Calphalon pots from China were about 30% cheaper but still much more expensive than the ordinary pots(but cheap for Calphalon prices)...

My knives are different. I still prefer to buy German made Wusthof...haven't ventured to try their more economical Chinese line yet.

From sandals to Knives...only on monsterfish.com ;)
 
I hear ya. Honestly to me as long as it works good who cares. Either way I'm happy with my made in China flip flops lol. And they don't tear up my feet like other ones do.
