WoooHooooo my aros survived a powerfailure

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
arowanas have the ability to utilize oxygen from the atmosphere, so depleted O2 isnt the biggest of concerns.

usually an aro dies from a power faliure because of a drop in temperature or an overstocked tank (waste intoxication)

glade to hear he made it though

i disagree. i've never seen this being mention. would appreciate your kind direction to these reference. :)

power failure is pretty normal in the philippines, i lost a silver 7 years ago coz of a black-out

thats interesting. anyone confirm it? (not saying your wrong)

my aro ocasionally gulps air by arching her back liek a bow and you can see the tip of her mouth take in alittle air at the surface

its very brief but awsome

could just be silvers though

then i again i have seen asian aros do it too

ill do a search for it on the net

but now i must catch my bus:)

Good to hear :)

Phew.....i spent 70 bucks on my acdc battery operated pump. :grinyes: According to the specs it should last around 20 hours when using the alternating mode. :grinyes:
