I think we all need accountability and transparency in order to better address the economic crisis. Instead the tool that the we rely on, media/news, are failing to provide a clear and understandable plan, most likely b/c of the current elections.
I believe as a nation we all agree that there are several institutions within "wall st" and "main st" that need to be held accountable. The notion of "blank checks" given to provide a, with a lack of a better phrase, "bail-out" is unacceptable and should not be endorsed.
BUT, with the crisis having evolved into a historic low, life as we know it, will drastically change. Being referred to as our 'Great Depression', not only must we act to preserve, revive, and develop a 21st century solution, the nation must address a practical method that prevents the economic disaster's spiraling and reaching our front doors.
Rather than play the blame game as we watch the economy degenerate, we must put aside ideological beliefs and actually do something. Personally, I feel the bailout must work harder to save ordinary people/business rather than put an emphasis on the giant corporations. In addition to that, to those who oppose the bail-out, rather than arguing, demand that any surplus from the plan be devoted to the middle-class. What is important to understand is, time frames do account to whether or not we can positively affect the nature of the economic crisis.
Lets get sh** done people.
