Magic Place Of Wonders And Delights
Just wondering becasue i am thinking of asking my LFS for a job at the end of my course.
I really need this job so i was wondering if you guys that do work at a LFS could give me tips on getting hired just anything that you think might help me out :confused: .

Be friendly and persistent! I got a job working at a fish store when I was 15 only because of my persistence! The owner was om vacation in Mexico and I went back and talked to the manager every week for 3 weeks! I later learned that the reason he hired me was because of my personality and persistence! Sell yourself! Explain why they should hire YOU and not someone else!
 
ive been working in pet shops for the last three years its not all you are expecting but at the same time its not that bad just tell the guy what you know let them know your a people person cause they love people who can talk to customers and make sales and if you get in make sure you up sell and keep tanks and cages clean that will keep your job for you
 
Just let them know about your experience/knowledge of fish/fishkeeping. And let them know if there are fish you don't know about, that you are willing to learn more about them.

....and put down monsterfishkeepers as a reference. :D
 
same as any other job.
be professional.
dress in business casual for the interview if you have one
explain your knowledge of fish keeping

pretend you're them. they want someone who will have the companie's best interest in mind.
 
Thanks guys for the help i will ask them at end of my course so maybe around beginning of next year since my course finishes around end of year so yea thanks :D.
