seems to be some haters in here, but that blown call at third base happened in a game that the phils won by 8 runs, so you cannot blame that on why they lost, there were also a few calls that went the other way, when the phils catcher dove and threw the ball to first and howard bare handed it, the runner was out and he was called safe, and also one time the batter was struck out and they they changed that and gave him a walk, what about the fake throw to first to get the guy out at home, that seemed like a great play that only a great team would do, so stop hating. and it seemed like they suspended the game only after the rays tied it, they could have called the game earlier since it was a swamp out there, but they gave the rays a chance to get back into it, 4 games to 1 isnt because of crappy calls, its called skill people GO PHILLIES

Not true. It wasn't just individual calls, the strike zones were jacked. I am about as unbiased as can be in this series. I'm a cardinals fan, so I was actually kind of rooting for Philly to bring it back to the NL. And some of those blown calls were MAJOR at that point in the game. The 8 run loss would not have been because that inning would have been over without all the runs that scored. There were TB mistakes (and youthful breaking under pressure), and Philly most likely would have won either way. The simple fact is it should have been a much better series.
 
blown calls on both sides, phils won, if they lost, you could complain about the umpires saying there were bad calls the other way, they were the better team, end of story go phils!!!
 
Well if you reread my post you'll see I agreed they were the better team, and saw the same outcome either way. :screwy: There's just no middle of the road for either fans, it's all or nothing. They're either crying, or calling the other fans crybabies.....:grinno:
