i love marimo balls idk why, but there is something g very cool about them and who doesnt like a plant that never attaches to anything, sinks, and it nearly indestructable. plus with growth under a cm per year, thats some real dedication to have one that size!

I had 3 large ones a couple of years ago, but my Bichirs got spooked and ripped a few holes in them. Sucks because I could never find any that size anymore. Even the place I bought it from told me that those were the largest they've ever gotten. They have "Large" Marimo Balls, but they aren't nearly as large as the ones I got from them before. I just got 5 new ones a couple of months ago and yeah...something about them that just makes it cool to have them around.

One day, I want a tank that is bare bottom and filled with moss balls and shrimp
would make for an interesting look I think

i was thinking of getting a million and using that for substrate. plant filtration and a moss carpet? sounds like a good idea to me.(which means it probably wont actually work)
