well yes they are both in a different genus, but they are both in the same family... They are the only 2 species in the Polyodontidae family. They are both paddlefish.

Wow, a true monster. Same thing is happening over in US with American Eels, damns galore are being built where the eels used to go spawn and now their numbers have dramatically decreased.
