WORMS IN MY BOWFIN

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Feed less and vacuum your gravel/sand or whatever you've got on the bottom of the tank. You want to remove all excess food particles from the tank and the worms will not have a food source. You could theoretically put in some kind of small active bottom feeder that might help eat them up, but I probably wouldn't bother.
Alright thanks.

These worms are much longer and thinner than the ones i see when I look at planarian worms.

It's hard for us to say for sure without photos.

Have you checked your water parameters? It is possible that the overfeeding led to both the death of the bowfins and the explosion in worm growth. I mean, it seems like the most likely cause. Again, we can't say for sure if we can't get a good look.

Params are fine. These are messy fish so I do 40% water changes daily.
