All right,

Who feeds their /\/\onsters with earth-/red-/bait-worms? Bring on species and feeding regimen.

I'll start: My 15'' goldline knifefish eats nothing else. About a dozen each night.

Well i use to feed my ]\/[onster Fish until they died

I've got a 6" warmouth that still won't eat pellets, he gets earthworms from the yard, night crawlers and red wigglers from the bait shop when I don't feel like digging, crickets, superworms, frozen krill, moths, the occassional baby live gecko and earlier this week he ate a crawfish.

I feed my 2 5'' Red Oscars earthworms from my garden (no fertilizer) once maybe twice a week. The rest of the time there are in for Hikari Gold, krill, lettuce, peas.

Oh god that sounds like it can get pricey!

My 16" Mastacembelidae Armatus slurps them up like noodles!
As snacks only though, took me forever to get it on pellets.

I've been trying lately but my bichir/oscar/needlefish dont seem very interested. I haven't wanted to just drop the worm in and have it rot under the gravel so I think it's mainly fear of my hand, though with the Oscars my hand is never an issue when its full of pellets...

I use to feed red/earth worms to my rtc and my friend feeds meal worms to his jardini.

Judging from the replies, worms are not really a common staple food but welcome treats cool.

Black worms for small and midsized cichlids
Nightcrawlers daily for Flowerhorn (also homemade food and pellets)
Nightcrawlers every once in a while as a treat for Oscars. Mainly because it would get expensive to feed them worms regularly.
Red wigglers off and on for puffer, he doesn't like nightcrawlers very much.

Drop him in, you're Oscars will get them. Once they get a taste they'll take them out of your hand. I play tug a war with my flowerhorn.

I'm considering doing a worm farm for the summer and freezing what's left at the end of the warm weather. I've been trying to cultivate my own black worms with mixed results.
